My name is Iman from Gaza City- an architecture engineer, influencer and recently a mother to a beautiful child who was born during the war in Gaza.

I gave birth to my first child in this war. The ambulance did not even come to take me because of the large number of injured people, you can’t imagine how hard it was. I did not find a shelter to protect me and my child from the cold, even clean clothes, food or medicine.

I had many dreams, ambitions and successes, a beautiful, colourful life, but as you know, the occupation destroyed our dreams and lives, and we lost our homes, money, and family members in this war. I was close to opening my own engineering office in Gaza and I had put all my effort into completing this work, but! The harsh war on Gaza finished everything, I lost my job and my own equipment, and unfortunately there is neither electricity nor equipments to do our jobs. Today is the 415 day of the war. Everything has become very difficult.

We escaped from death many times to several places to look for safety, but there is never a safe place in Gaza, only hunger and death. My only hope is to save my little family and get out of Gaza, to start a new life from scratch. It is very difficult to leave your homeland, but we are forced.
