Melanie & Andy's baby boy Link has been diagnosed with a rare condition called congenital diaphragmatic hernia. There is a hole in his diaphragm with has allowed many of his other organs to push up into his chest cavity giving his lungs no room to develop.

His case is on the severe end of the spectrum & doctors are giving him a roughly 50% chance of survival with a 6 month NICU stay if he makes it.

They were referred to Hermann Memorial in Houston because this hospital has a team dedicated to handling CDH cases.

There is an experimental surgery they were given the opportunity to have that comes with risks, but with good odds to be successful will greatly increase his chance of survival.

Melanie will be having the surgery on November 30th & is relocating to Houston then.

While paying their normal mortgage they will now be paying for housing in Houston for Melanie & Loki while Andy will be commuting back & forth for work.

As many of you know she is self employed & makes about half of her income for the whole year this time of year.

I know times are hard on everybody right now, but if you are able & feel it in your heart to help ease the financial burden placed on them they would humbly accept.

However, if prayers & good thoughts are what you have to offer those are welcomed with open arms as well.
