Alexandrea Goodman, the daughter of Michael and Nicole Goodman, is currently fighting for her life because she is in need of a heart transplant.
Last week Alexandrea stopped eating and using the bathroom for no reason. The first five months of her life have been fine and she was a healthy baby. Alexandrea was rushed to the hospital on Friday September 4, 2020, where she was then taken to LeBohnner Children's Hospital and Michael and Nicole were informed by doctors that Alexandrea has Cardiomyopathy, a heart condition that causes heart failure.
Within a matter of hours their lives were turned upside down with the devastating news of their daughter's unexpected life-threatening illness. Alexandrea has had one surgery and has to be placed on the heart transplant list. She is waiting on a viable heart which could take
weeks, months or years to receive. In the
meantime, doctors have implanted a device into her heart to help it pump blood throughout
her body. She has to stay in the hospital for
the next six months or more to hopefully
receive a new heart.
Our family is devastated, and currently seeking financial help to pay the household and medical bills that their current Health Insurance Policy does not cover. This is a nightmare that no one saw coming and due to the current
COVID-19 rules and guidelines, housing for their family is not promising right now.
Please find it in your heart to help my family in this time of unfortunate and unplanned health crisis as we live through the most tragic
heartache of our lives.
