http://www.manoramanews.com/nattuvartha/central/gracy-dialicis.html - Here is a link for a newspaper article in Malayalam language about Gracy aunty and her family.

Hello dear family and friends,

My name is Jomy Joseph and I live with my family in Flower Mound which is one of the suburbs of north Dallas, Texas.  However, this story is not about me, it's about our dear family, struggling with disease and sickness.  They are in need of our help.

On January 22nd, 2016, my mom's sister, Gracy aunty, died in the middle of her dialysis session in India.  She was 61 and leaves behind her husband and two sons.  In 2009, she was diagnosed with end stage renal disease and waited for a kidney transplant.  She suffered much but her soul was well and was an encouragement to us as she served her husband and boys.  She did not put the spotlight on her disease as she cared for her boys who were also diagnosed with end stage renal disease.  She was a woman of prayer and steadfast faith in the Lord.

You may have heard the saying, "when it rains, it pours."  This is the case with the Babu family in terms of sickness.  C.V. Babu, Gracy aunty's husband, was the breadwinner of the family.  Eight years ago, he suffered a stroke on the left side of his body that left him unable to work and care for his family.  He regained some of his strength but a year and a half ago, he suffered another debilitating stroke.  Although he was unable to work, he has truly fought through these strokes and took care of his family in spite of his illness.

In 2011, Bipin Babu, the oldest son (29 years old) was diagnosed with end stage renal disease.  He was a second year business management student but could not continue because of his illness.  He receives dialysis on a regular basis and is on a kidney transplant list.

In 2013, Binny Babu, the youngest son (25 years old) was diagnosed with kidney failure, and has been undergoing dialysis and is on a kidney transplant waiting list as well.  Binny  had worked as a high school music teacher in Mumbai, India for a year and a half but was unable to continue to work due to the disease.

The family lived in Mumbai city in India.  However, they recently moved to Trissur, Kerala, India to be enlisted at the Kidney federation of India (kidneyfed.com) run by Father Davis Chiramel.  Bipin and Binny are in need of kidney transplants which are the only solution that would save their lives.  The cost of two transplants, post operative treatment and medicines are about $34,000 (US) for this family.  They do not have a healthy working family member or health insurance.  As their extended family, we have committed to supporting them with their monthly expenses.

We are pleading before you to consider donating any amount (one time gift or recurring giving) toward their kidney transplants which would give life to our cousins Binny and Bipin.  This would allow them to have sufficient funds when they are matched with kidneys.

Please keep the Babu family in your prayers.  Also, please let me know if you need more information about their medical treatment as I can share information and medical reports.  Please show your support and spread the word (#kidneys4bros).

We'll keep you updated on their progress and sincerely thank you for taking the time to view this page, we know it means so much to the Babu family!  May God bless you and thank you in advance for your gifts of love.
