Bab Boudir Sterilisation Project
Donation protected
My name is Carolien, and I have been working and living in Morocco for a year. During my time working on conservation and animal rescue projects, I cant help but befriend the local dogs and cats. It started with feeding some starving animals in the village, and a little cat i found under my house. It grew to the point where sickly mothers were carrying their pups up to be looked after at my home.
I have done my best to look after these animals as well as as I can, utilizing my own funds and vet nursing skills to help them with parasites, mange, and assisting in sterilization surgery. Unfortunately, my efforts alone are no longer enough, and recently some of my beloved friends were cruelly killed.
This highlights the severity of the situation in Morocco or having numerous puppies born all over towns and villages, to become a nuisance, and eventually killed.
the Sterilization project aims to sterilize, vaccinate and tag as many animals as possible, and also to find forever homes for as many as I can.
I have contacted several organizations in Europe, but it is proving to be very hard to begin a project involving European vets coming to assist me, therefore, me and the dogs of Bab Boudir are on our own.
The females are fast approaching sexual maturity and the aim of this project is to have them sterilized, vaccinated and tagged, so if they cannot find homes, they can live safely in the village.
All funds received will go solely to helping the stray animals in my village, and anything extra will go into setting up a permanent sterilization project out here.
