On April 26th, Jason Baadsgaard suffered a catastrophic medical event while out of the country, and his family lost a husband, a father, a son, a brother, and a friend. Jason was a young, bright, and admirable man with much more life yet to live and look forward to. Many have asked, "What can we do?" and want to do something meaningful for Kristin, Owen, and Riley. While nothing can reduce the grief of such a sudden and untimely loss, we have identified a contribution that would most honor Jason's memory and purpose.
Jason always said that education is a gift no one can take away from you, and you shouldn't allow adversity to hold you back; you should drive through it. The desire to give his children a debt-free education so they could move forward in their lives in a way that he couldn't right after college drove Jason to work the way he did. Contributing to their education is a beautiful way to honor his memory.
With Owen leaving for college in August, and Riley following in his footsteps in just 2 years, the daily expenses of college life away from home are looming. Extra funds for a book, a late-night meal, printer ink, student organization fees and expenses, or a plane ticket home, will be something greatly appreciated by the kids that Kristin would never request herself.
As such, and in lieu of flowers, please consider joining us to help alleviate the burden of added costs of college life. Together, in a consolidated effort, we can make a huge difference!
