"Handyman" is a short film about a self-employed female assassin who brings justice to those who are victims of sexual assault.
The film takes place in the 1950's and heavily relies on subverting the viewers expectations of a woman's role in society at the time. As a thriller with a reveal-all unexpected twist, it will keep you guessing until the end.
This film and its subject matter means a lot to me; it is a story I want to tell with a message that needs to be heard. As an Emerson student, it will also mean the world to me to be able to bring my project that I have been working on for almost two years to life. The money we are raising is essential to this production. Your donations would help with fees such as transportation costs, equipment rentals, production and costume design, and making sure our cast/crew is fed. The shooting dates are March 22nd-24th, and the film will be released in early May. Every dollar counts and is greatly appreciated!
