A magnitude 7.8 earthquake struck Turkey’s eastern provinces on Sunday night. 3 cities were destructed, millions were left homeless and thousands of lives were lost or hospitalized. This disaster is the most catastrophic event my country has seen in the last 100 years. Given the economic conditions, timing (04:17 local time when everyone was sleeping at home) and freezing weather in the area, urgent help is needed. Rescue efforts are just starting – with the next 48 hours being the most critical.

The focus will be to donate supplies (tents, clothes, food and heaters) to the survivors and help rehome millions of people who lost their homes.
