Dear friends and family,

I'm reaching out today to ask for your support for David and his incredible family, who are going through an unimaginably hard time right now. David is currently in the hospital, facing one of the toughest battles of his life.

What began as what he thought was asthma and a minor illness has now turned into a serious and complex medical condition. David has recently been diagnosed with Chronic Thromboembolic Pulmonary Hypertension (CTEPH) and Pulmonary Hypertension (PH), a rare and life-threatening conditions that severely affect his heart and lungs. In the coming weeks, David will need to undergo major surgery in order to survive and regain any sense of normalcy in his life.

David is a devoted father to two beautiful little girls who light up his world. And while he fights to heal, they along with his family are doing their best to stay strong. Through all of this, Mariana has been holding down the fort at home, and being the rock their two little girls and David need.

They would never ask for help themselves, in fact, Mariana was hesitant for us to set this up. But as friends, family, and a community who love them, we want to take one thing off their plate: the stress and weight of financial worry during this incredibly difficult time.

Between hospital bills, time away from work, childcare, and daily expenses, the burden is heavy, and it's the last thing they should have to think about right now.
