URGENT APPEAL-GRACE FOUNDATION CHARITABLE TRUST

Help us to raise $20,000 for Grace Foundation School, Bengaluru India: a donor funded training school that supports students with disabilities. GFS relies on the generosity of others to continue operating and growing. This Urgent Appeal is to help Grace Foundation School relocate and re-adjust the funding model for the next stage of development.

After opening in 2016 with 3 students meeting in a house, the past 7 years has seen the school flourish. It now serves 40 students but needs your help to expand and relocate.

Grace Foundation School helps the helpless. Most students come from impoverished families who are unable to provide necessary disability care. In such situations, parents are forced to make the impossible choice between caring for their child or leaving them locked in a room all day in order to go to work and provide. On top of this, the cultural stigma against disability often leads to family abandonment of mother and child.

Grace Foundation School offers a completely FREE program for students which includes daily transportation, freshly prepared meals, thorough medical assessment, personalised medication, trained disability staff and carers, regular physiotherapy sessions, vocational and life skills training, and, recreational activities.
