Emergency Aid

Hi, my name is Rob and I am a professional musician. I came to Europe on my first flights in over 18 months (covid issues). Due to Airline mishaps and error, was forced to miss my flights back to America for the first time ever.

The total cost has been staggering to a fulltime musician like myself- all of us in our business have had our work slashed by ca 90%. Due to airline incompetence, was forced to pay a 510$ rebook fee for flights I paid for and showed up early for. The additional costs of multiple covid tests (all negative), lost travel, lost income, and two weeks of events work, appointments and non refundable hotels in the States., I have lost at least $1,500 USD, with more fallout imminent. UPDATE: Airline charged more than they said, and more work is lost now. Hence the raised goal. Thanks.

Many of us are experiencing the miseries of unemployment,high costs of unhelpful airlines, and the expenses of tests, paperwork, etc... it seems endless, and the struggle is too great at present.

Whatever amount can be given will be very appreciated to get back on track after a tidal wave of big losses. It's an awful time as you know, and it is particularly hard for those who make/ made their living performing (severely curtailed) and traveling (severely expensive and miserable).

I've handled it all as best as possible since 2020, but this is a breaking point.

   Update: Horribly , my car was stolen on or before Oct. 9th. It was my vehicle for tours, gigs, travel, daily life... everything.... My most prized and necessary possession. Stolen from an airport longterm ( supposedly SECURE) lot.This is catastrophic on many levels... it was my late mother's car  which means a lot to me.. Also, due to my frequent travel, ALL OF my sheet music, many cds, hardware, mouthpieces and most of my clothes were stolen with the car, hence the large rise in fundraising goal. All the proper police, insurance reports were made. No word yet.
      The hope is for the cops to find the car but I am not optimistic. It's awful. The expenses without it, including rental cars in a very pricey time for those,I discovered,  are staggering. No roads to resolution or stability have appeared, and I am very bummed about all of this. naturally.
      Anyone who can donate even a small amount will help deal with this debacle. It's overwhelming.  Thank you all.
