Hi I don't know where to start. My parents got covid early September and ended up in the hospital. They were released from the hospital in Sydney nebraska but 2 days later my dad had to be admitted again because he got worse. The doctors ended up putting him on a ventilator and in a medically induced coma and life flighted him to aurora Colorado. At this point my mom was left in Nebraska by herself. We were able to find a way to get her home back home to idaho. My dad is a long haul truck driver and my mom was always on the road with him. They were always always on the road and were hardly ever home. That's the life of a truck driver. My dad would give the shirt off his back to help his family and the people he cared about. He has worked harder than anyone I have ever known. He was always there for his family when we needed him. We are trying to do our best to help financially in this difficult time . At this point they're not sure when they're going to be able to take my dad off the ventilator and after that we're not sure when he will be able to return to work. ***UPDATE ***

dad is still on the ventilator. The doctors said he was breathing a little over the ventilator so they attempted to reduce the sedation to see how he would handle it. At that time he got agitated so they added more of the sedation.  A couple days after that they tried to remove the ventilator to see if he was able to breath on his own and it was not successful so they re intubated. They lighted the sedation a little bit more last night and my dad became agitated again and was trying to fight the intubation so the doctor again had to give more sedation to make my dad comfortable.  They think he is making some progress but at this time they are still unable to remove the ventilator.  We are very hopeful this works.
