Hey everyone, my name is Philip Gasper and I'm in need of some real help and its taking a lot out of me to make this. I recently started back to work with a great company doing commercial roofing. I really started to like my new job, taking the Initiative to learn all I can, the best I can, to better myself, and my crew.
One Saturday morning just like ever other, we got up on the roof, we started setting up just like every other day. As I was setting up another crew member asked me a simple question and as I started to answer I felt my foot tap something an next thing you know I lost my balance. An within the blink of an eye I fell.. 18 ft straight down like a rag doll to another steel deck. Landing on all my tools, barely able to breath, barely able to move. I remember it all like it was yesterday.
I spent the next couple days in the hospital including my sons birthday to find i broke my ankle in 2 spots, have broken ribs, multiple compressed disks in my spine, an 2 broken vertebrae. And I will be spending the next 3 months in Physical therapy an on bed rest.
The reason I'm creating this page is because I've exhausted all my funds trying to pay rent, basic household bills, feed my family, and trying to give my son the Christmas he deserves. It's been the hardest time I've ever had to go through, nearly bringing me to tears every night, fearful I won't be able to feed my son or worse lose the roof over our heads.
Its taking alot out of my pride to create this but I have nowhere else to turn. I know this is a tough time for everyone and I hate myself for making this but, please we need help... This isn't for me, this is for my son, I dont want him to lose his home and everything else that he needs and deserves because of this.
please help us...
