My name is Ava Jordan. I am 13 years old have a target to raise £4600 for an expedition in 2027.

I will be undertaking several fundraising activities to achieve this.

On reaching goal

I will be working on a range of projects throughout the expedition; each aligned to the UN Sustainable Development Goals and designed to make a significant and lasting impact on the region’s most critical issues.

Kenya – School improvements and conservation work

Many local schools are in very dilapidated buildings which suffer from erosion and seasonal flooding. I will be helping to build or renovate school buildings so that local children have a clean and safe academic environment.

Kenya – Community development and coastal forest protection

Muhaka village remains one of the poorest communities in Kenya. I will be helping to support community development projects such as traditional house building and school improvements. And also work on reforestation projects within the sacred Kaya forest,
