On Friday the 20th, Patrick was walking in his work parking where he slipped and fell. Another coworker coming to work found Patrick laying on the ground unconscious. Thanks to her quick thinking she called 911, and the ambulance brought him to the ER. During his visit there, they found a skull fracture and two areas where brain was bleeding. The doctors quick response was to life flight him to St. Marys trauma center in Duluth.
After a series of CT and MRI scans, they found that Patrick had a pretty big stroke in cerebellum area of brain. Patrick has moderate weakness on right side of extremities and a moderate deficit of his right eye. We are unsure the path the trauma, neurosurgical, and stroke team are going to take. Patrick is very unfortunate that the small company he works for is not able to provide medical insurance.
Patrick is going to have a long road to recovery , but he will do it with me, his wife, and 3 children and other family members by his side. With the mountains of medical bills piling up, lost wages for both Patrick and Rachel, and all their other household bills, times are going to be very hard on us.
We have had a few people ask to help, so if you want to help with the financial expenses, you can donate to the GoFundMe site, Venmo (@Rachel-Lathrop-8), or PayPal (@RachelLathrop206). We welcome thoughts, prayers, and love too...GOD BLESS.
