Shelby's Mission

Shelby (7 years old) has wanted to do something to help the children in the Bahamas after Hurricane Dorian destroyed the northern islands.  When she heard on the news that schools were being rebuilt, and she ran to me, insisting that she needed to help donate items.  Since then she created a "kindness cup", where she asks us to put money if we catch her doing something kind.  In about a month she earned about $17, and was very excited to go to Walmart and begin her purchases.  She is also planning on setting up a lemonade stand and selling jewelry and art that she is making.  While these are great ideas, I decided to create this fundraiser to help her pull in more money and to include those who are unable to help her locally.  This Go Fund Me is Shelby's giant kindness cup.  I am so blessed to have such a thoughtful little girl, who is so determined to help kids that have lost so much.  This fundraiser will run until March 1, the 6 month anniversary of Dorian's eye making landfall at the Abaco Islands.  The money will primarily be used to purchase school supplies (backpacks, pencils, markers, glue, lunch boxes, water bottles~ the general school supply list) for the children in those areas most affected.  If the results of this fundraiser exceed expectations it will also be used toward teaching supplies, cash donations to the schools, and to possibly assist in any transport/distribution costs.  You may also join the Facebook group 'Shelby's Mission' for additional details.  Thank you so much for your support!
