Help Scott Recover

Donation protected
In October, after not feeling well for several weeks, Scott went to urgent care and was admitted to the hospital. He learned that he would need open heart surgery to repair a leaking valve. He had this surgery in early November and started the process of recovery.

Things went well for a while, but by February it was clear that the first surgery hadn't worked as planned. In a meeting with his medical team to discuss returning to work, Scott learned that all of his heart valves were damaged and that he would need a second open heart surgery. On February 26, surgeons replaced three of his heart valves and repaired the fourth. The long road to recovery began again, with the goal of returning to work in June.

Recovery is going smoothly from the second surgery, but now there are new setbacks. On April 4, Scott learned that he is being laid off after 28 years with the same company.

Scott needs our help as he continues to recover. Medical bills and other expenses continue to add up, and all donations will go toward those expenses. Legal advice, help with the job search, visits and calls are also appreciated. Thank you!
