Copper was hit by a car and needs surgery

Hi my name is Copper, I just turned 1 in October, I’m a golden retriever X Irish setter and am the goofiest, sweetest boy who loves to play and snuggle.

This morning someone hit me and left me there. My mom got a call that someone found me, her and my dad rushed me to the vet. Unfortunately, my pelvis is shattered and my hip is dislocated. I need to have surgery!

The vets gave my parents 3 options:

1. Surgery at the animal hospital almost 2 hours away- that would cost over 6000$, but could fix the fractures and dislocation (and any internal bleeding).

2. I stay the night at the vets with fluids/pain meds and then, I can come home with pain meds and strict rules to keep me immobile- I need a sling to go to the washroom because I can’t walk. In 6-8 weeks, if my fractures have healed, we do surgery to try to fix the dislocation, this would cost over 1200$ or

3. They put me down.

My family is very sad, my human kids at home are sad and scared, they don’t want to lose me. If you could help my humans out, so they can give me the best chance at survival we would all be grateful.
