Hello! This is a fundraiser to help with the medical bills for Michelle and Dave Alegre.

Last Sunday (01/23/22) Michelle suffered an intense stroke to the back of her brain.

Her vitals are stable and recovering, but has not regained consciousness just yet - that's projected to happen over the next few days, depending on how well she responds to the medications she is on.

She is sedated and intubated to properly control and monitor her blood pressure - the key factor in all of this.

The first 72 hours is the most delicate time period post-stroke, so we are all on heavy maintenance mode while Michelle's brain recovers from the intense trauma that happened last Sunday.

In short, she is doing well and on the mend, but is still very much climbing a hill - she's not far from the peak, though, and we should be able to start treatment in full in the next few days.

Even with insurance, the cost of being in the ICU per day is very expensive in addition to the rehabilitation costs post-discharge care. We want both of them to pull through this with minimal stress while they're recovering.

All funds raised will go straight to Michelle and Dave's medical and healthcare expenses.
