C33 9-11 Garden of Reflection Fund

Dear Pilots, Family and Friends of Council 33,
The Garden of Reflection Endowment Campaign was started in order to maintain the 9-11 Memorial located in Historical Bucks County farmland in Lower Makefield Township, PA
The Memorial, designed by Yardley architect Liuba Lashchyk AIA, invites us on a walking Memorial Journey symbolizing “After Darkness…Light”. This Memorial Journey leads from sorrowful reminders of tragedy and grief towards luminous symbols of Hope, Peace and Celebration of Life.
A 2016 endowment campaign is under way to provide on-going funds for the maintenance of the Memorial. The goal is to raise 2 million dollars; when that amount has been reached, the endowment will be fully funded, and fundraising will cease. Donations of $2,500 or more will be recognized with a plaque at the Memorial.
This GoFundMe account has been started by the DEN based Pilots of United Airlines, UAL Council 33 of ALPA, in order to raise at least $2,500 for the Garden of Reflection Endowment Campaign. The goal is for each ALPA Council at United Airlines to be represented by a commemorative plaque at the Memorial.
The Garden was created by the hard work and vision of many individuals, including Ellen Saracini, the widow of United Captain Victor Saracini. The Endowment Campaign is underway to raise the money needed to fund the Garden of Reflection in perpetuity.
