Make Meg a wig

Meet Megan! Megan is 12 years old and like most girls her age, loves to dance, sing, perform, experiment with clothes, accessories and make-up. She is also one of the bravest, most beautiful, resilient human beings I know. She amazes me on a daily basis how she deals with her hair loss at such a tricky age.
When she was 8, Megan began to lose patches of hair from her head. We believe this was caused by the stress of having a general anaesthetic. Her hair grew back within six months and she had no repeat episodes until she approached her year 6 sats at the end of primary school. This time she lost larger patches of hair and most of her eyelashes. Again, her hair and lashes had grown back within six months.
However, by this time last year, Megan had begun to lose very large patches around the nape and above the ears which gradually joined together leaving her with no hair around the sides or back of her head.
Just before the end of the summer holidays last year, Megan's hair fell out rapidly. She now has only a very small patch of hair on her crown which she has decided to shave off. She wears a wig everyday. She has four wigs to choose from; 1 NHS synthetic wig, 2 synthetic wigs bought as Christmas presents and the other is a human hair wig, kindly donated by the Little Princess Trust. The synthetic wigs itch like mad so the human hair wig is her favourite but is sadly beginning to lose it's hair and needs replacing.
As I began by saying, Megan is a performer and performing in her current wig is not easy. To be truthful, it falls off! She would absolutely love to be the proud owner of a Joli chameleon dancer wig. This is made out of European human hair so would be fine like her own hair used to be. It is moulded to her head using silicone so does not move until she breaks the seal created. This would enable her not only to do handstands and back flips if she so wished, but would also mean she could wear her hair up again in all the wonderful up do's we used to find together on you tube. These wigs range from £1400-£2500, depending on the length desired. Any donations or even words of support would make a special girl very happy. Xxxxxx
