With a heavy heart, we will miss all the possibilities that could be if you were still around, but we will cherish all the happy memories we have created in your lifetime. Your laugh when watching Seinfeld or jokes on the Simpsons, or your excitement when talking about different action moves. All these memories show what a wonderful father you were to us and husband to mom. As our time now has come to a close, I do not believe that it has ended as your love will carry us for many years until we all see you again. - Greg

Our prayer for Dad

Gracious God, As my dad passed away and is on his voyage to eternal life[1], please refresh my memory and allow me to remember good times with my earthly father.

Allow me to rekindle the memory deep within my heart and, with your mighty power, help me love intensely the person who raised me into who I am today, and may this generous love honor his death and ease my fear during this dark time.

Let sadness be replaced with joy, and I pray that the lost spirit of our loved one may find its way to your comfortable arm. Allow this mourning to be my turning point and the realization that we will never be in control of our life here on earth. All these daily prayers for the loss of father, I pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
