2021 LA Fire Hero Squad LA Marathon
Tax deductible
For more than 113 years, the Widows, Orphans & Disabled Firefighter's Fund (WODFF) has served the needs of firefighters as they risk their lives in the line of duty. Whether they are saving lives in Los Angeles or providing assistance during global disasters, the members of the LAFD know that they and their families have someone to turn to for help should the unthinkable happen. WODFF provides assistance to widows so they will be able to afford the housing, food, and clothing that they and their families need.
This year, I am participating in the Los Angeles Marathon on November 7, 2021. As a daughter of a Los Angeles City Firefighter, I am so grateful for the courageous men and women who sacrifice so much in order to protect and save the lives of others. As a member of the LA Fire Hero Squad, I am honored to dedicate my first marathon to all firefighters, the extraordinary heroes.
"Helping our brave firefighters, especially after one is injured or killed in the line of duty, requires support from people like you. As an official charity partner of the 2021 ASICS LA Marathon, our runners compete in the full marathon, the charity challenge race and the L.A. Big 5k. You can help our “L.A. Fire” team meet its fundraising goal by making a donation. All contributions benefit the Widows, Orphans & Disabled Firefighter’s Fund and come directly to our charity. Our fantastic team members include LAFD firefighters, family members, volunteers and other supporters. Each is dedicated to running this incredible race, and raising money for those in need. Thank you for being a hero to a hero and giving back to those who sacrifice so much, yet rarely ask for anything in return."
