By now, you've probably read the story dozens of times - person with well-paying job loses their income because of COVID, exhausts all their stopgap measures, and is left still struggling and barely surviving, even after their income goes back to normal. I know I am not unique in my situation. However, I still need help.

I work in the freight industry and am a ten-year veteran in the business. I work for a firm based in Manhattan, and I commute to work every day. At night, I stream live on Twitch several nights a week. Being a broadcaster has always been my passion and dream, and I love what I do when I'm live and streaming with my community. However, all of that was thrown into chaos when COVID hit. My income took a severe hit when my hours were furloughed at my job, and the support I received from my streaming community was not nearly enough to make up the difference. I have since returned to my normal work hours, but the impact of the furlough was too great, and now I am struggling to get by.

I am four months behind on my rent and facing eviction. My utility payments are past due. I'm overdrafting my checking account week after week just to be able to afford groceries and the bus pass for getting to and from work. This is not sustainable, and I've exhausted every other means of support that I have available to me. Thus, here I am.

Any amount that you can give is incredibly appreciated, especially in these difficult times. Any amount that I can get to keep the lights on and stave off eviction before the holidays would be helpful at this point.
