Hello, my name is Lauren Lappin and I am a current student at High Point University, majoring in International Business. My friends and I have been personally inspired to privately raise individual funds so that we can purchase a bronze statue of Charlie Kirk and have it gifted and displayed alongside the many other inspirational thought-leaders that are seen throughout High Point University's campus. In the wake of Charlie's tragic and untimely death, we have been inspired to turn his tragedy into a legacy of inspiration. His message of freedom lives on in our hearts. High Point University is a God, Family, Country university that strives to teach thoughtful discourse and respectful dialogue, while protecting our First Amendment. We feel Charlie was the thought leader of our generation and his message of free speech resonates very strongly here. Charlie was a great American patriot who loved our country and his words will continue to be an inspiration both for our generation and for generations to come. This statue will help preserve his legacy and will continue to spread his message of hope, faith and freedom both in this great country as well as on our HPU campus. We hope you will join us on this endeavor as we strive to reach our goal of $85,000. All funds will be secured in a personal account until the final goal is reached. Then, a previously commissioned artist will begin the process of sculpting the bronze statue in Charlie's image. Should we not meet our ultimate goal, the funds will be returned to each of our generous donors. However, we are hopeful about meeting our goal, and have received commitments for matching gifts, once specific goals have been met. May God bless the soul of Charlie Kirk and May God Bless America.
