Pickle has been a bit wheezy lately but his breathing suddenly got really bad this morning. We ended up spending over 2.5 hours at the vet where he was sedated and had a bunch of tests done. The seems to think it’s likely FIP which currently has no cure in Canada. Drugs are available elsewhere in the world but may be expensive to get hold of. If it turns out to be FIP he probably doesn’t have long left if we can't get the meds.

I took him in thinking he either had a trapped hairball or had developed asthma and that there would be a simple solution. We will find out hopefully tomorrow (October 4) f it’s FIP. This has cost me two months rent already, and will be more in the upcoming days, regardless of the outcome. It's come at a time when I've recently had some other unexpected costs and am now struggling financially. I’ve been through so much with Picky and he’s been my best friend for over a decade. <3
