It's not everyday that you get to help out someone as fabulous as Allie Jackson. Her almost annoyingly consistent positive attitude is contagious and her strength and courage is an inspiration to everyone she knows. She has been forced to make so many life changing decisions in such a short amount of time and I know all of us want to help in any way we can.

Here's a little bit about her diagnosis for those that might not already know.

Allie, who's only 28, was diagnosed with breast cancer a couple of months ago. A few emotional weeks later, she tested positive for the BRCA2 gene, which means she is at very high risk of developing additional breast cancer as well as ovarian cancer. Her doctors have advised, and she's opted for, a bilateral mastectomy which was a hard pill to swallow at such a young age. She will be going through multiple breast surgeries as well as chemotherapy treatment for 4-6 months. Unfortunately one of the more permanent potential side effects of going through chemo is losing the ability to have children. This is especially heartbreaking because she has long dreamed of becoming a mother. In an effort to keep this dream alive, she will be taking steps to freeze her eggs before her treatment which is extremely costly on top of all medications, testing and hospital costs down this road of fighting cancer.

So please, give whatever you can and spread the word to anyone else that you know would love to support her. Any contribution of any size, even the smallest amount is greatly appreciated (hugs accepted too).
