Help Michelle Battle Breast Cancer

Hello, my name is Brenda, and I’m Michelle’s youngest daughter. My older sister, Joan, and I were raised by the most loving and selfless parents, Michelle and James. My mom is not only an incredible mother but also a devoted wife, grandmother to Harper (almost 3) and Skye (6 months), and mother-in-law to Justen and John. She has always been the heart of our family, and today, we are leaning on each other more than ever as she begins her fight against breast cancer.

My parents immigrated to the United States over 30 years ago and built a life from the ground up. They started a small dry cleaning business and poured every ounce of their energy into it to give my sister and me a future. Through the years, their customers have become extended family; people they’ve celebrated with, prayed for, and served with open hearts.

Earlier this month, my mom traveled to South Korea for what was supposed to be a short trip for a routine health checkup. Unexpectedly, she was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer. She is now preparing for surgery and will remain in Korea to receive treatment and to recover.

With the absence of our mom, it has been all hands on deck at our parents’ business. Joan, Justen, and their daughters moved into my parents’ house after a small fire at their home; a blessing in disguise that has brought much needed comfort and closeness to my dad. I’ve paused my own work to help fill in for my mom at the store. We are asking for support to help cover her hospital bills, the cost of surgery, travel for our dad to join her in Korea, and to allow us to temporarily close the cleaners during this time.

We believe in a God who performs miracles, and we are incredibly thankful for the outpouring of love, support, and prayers from our community. Your kindness means the world to us during this difficult chapter.
