Help Kathy (Congdon) Augenbaugh Fight Stage 4 Cancer
Donation protected
Kathy’s journey with breast cancer began 18 years ago, when she was a single mother raising two young daughters. She faced the disease head-on, undergoing treatment while working full-time and caring for her girls. Within just a year, she was declared cancer-free.
For the next 14 years, Kathy remained diligent about her checkups and screenings, each time receiving the reassuring news that she was still cancer-free. During that time, her family grew—not just by blood, but through lasting friendships with coworkers, customers, and the arrival of five cherished grandchildren who lovingly call her “Mimi.”
In 2021, Kathy received devastating news: she was diagnosed with Stage 4 terminal metastatic breast cancer. The cancer had spread to her adrenal glands, lymph nodes, and liver, requiring immediate and aggressive treatment.
Despite the diagnosis, Kathy continued working at the bank where she’s been employed for 30 years, all while managing her treatment regimen. But now, the toll has become too great. She can no longer work and keep up with her treatments. Soon, she will lose her health insurance and may be forced to begin liquidating her assets to cover medical expenses.
We’re asking for your help. Donations will go toward Kathy’s medical bills, insurance premiums, and ongoing care. Your support will give her the time and peace of mind to focus on what matters most—being with her grandchildren and continuing to teach them how to be strong, kind, and resilient—just like their Mimi.
No donation is too small, and every bit is deeply appreciated. Thank you
