My name is Line Dufour and I am a textile artist. In 2013, I received a grant from the Ontario Arts Council to launch the international tapestry installation through social media, Fate, Destiny and Self Determination/Le Sort, Le Destin et L’Auto-Determination, with 661 submissions to date, co-created by 397 people from 35 countries. The installation continues to grow and I receive new submissions daily. Each time the installation is exhibited, all the names of the co-creators are exhibited, and put on my website at this link: https://www.linedufour.com/fate-destiny-self-determination. Any extra money raised for this campaign will go towards publishing a book, and creating a film of the journey of this project.
The installation has already been exhibited in Toronto, Montreal, St. Andre Avelin, Vancouver, in Canada. It has also been exhibited Denver Colorado at Regis University, at the San Jose Museum of Quilts and Textiles in California USA as part of the American Tapestry Alliance Biennial 11; 'From Lausanne to Beijing Biennial 2016' Shenzhen, China; World Textile Art 2017 in Uruguay . Monies collected so far have contributed to these expenses, though not all.
Upcoming exhibitions are scheduled in Ireland for May and two museums in Germany from June to October all in 2018. More details at this link: http://fatedestinyselfdetermination.blogspot.ca.

Help honour all these talented artists who have contributed to making this art installation the dynamic and successful textile installation it is! Without them, it would not have been possible.
