Hi my name is Carly! Like many other pet owners, I truly care and deeply love my cats as if they were my children. EJ, my oldest, is an amazing 11 year old tabby boy whose favourite past time is sleeping, cuddling and sunbathing.

The reason behind this fundraiser is due to EJ requiring dental surgery. At least 4 teeth need to be removed and hopefully only 4. However, due to the high costs, I find myself stuck. I’ve tried reaching out to all other vet hospitals in my area and none of them are accepting new patient's. I’ve also reached out to PetSave which partners with a mobile vet hospital (known for lower costs), but they do not service my area.

Now, I’m finding myself here in hopes to receiving any kind of help. Some who are close to me suggested to put him down because it’ll cost less. However, I’ll never accept that as an option because he deserves nothing but the best. He’s been there at my lowest points in my life, along with being a great support animal for my mom when she couldn’t move for the longest time. Just stayed with her throughout her worst days and helped her through her pain.

He’s still got a full life ahead of him and now it’s my turn to return the favour and save him. EJ has his surgery booked for December 11th/2025. The cost of the surgery is approximately $4,000.00 CAD which still shocks me to my core. This surgery is important because if left untreated, it’ll cause complications such as organ failure and eventually death.

EJ means the world to me and my family, so any proceeds will go straight into his surgery, along with any medications they prescribe to him afterwards. I’ve currently opened a line of credit to help cover his surgery, but eventually I’ll have to pay the bank back.
