We have created this GoFundMe on behalf of our beloved Nephew, Julianno Renteria. Julianno is a phenomenal young man with so much life ahead of him. A recent graduate of Shepard High School, Julianno joined the Labors International Union of North America (LIUNA) Union local 225 as an apprentice. Anyone who knows Julianno would tell you how much of a great soul and person he is. Julianno is a huge support system for his Mother and siblings, who depend on him very much. A loving son and brother, grandson, and nephew with all the opportunities is now being jeopardized within a blink of an eye.
On the night of February 4th, 2023 our lives would be changed forever by the horrible news we received that our loving nephew was a victim of a senseless act of violence in the city of Chicago. Julianno was one of four passengers in a vehicle driving to enjoy a Saturday night.
Suddenly, a dark red/maroon dodge charger opened fire, for no apparent reason whatsoever. Julianno sustained gunshots to the head and neck causing multiple injuries to his vertebrae and Spine. He is currently paralyzed, unable to speak and unable to breathe without a ventilator. The pain has been unimaginable and we now look forward on how to best support not only Julianno, but his Mother, Janet and his very young siblings.
Due to unfortunate and unforeseen circumstances the family is left with reoccurring medical expenses and loss of wages on top of emotional distress. If you have gotten this far down in the read, we ask to keep Julianno in your prayers. Any donations to help relief the family would be greatly appreciated. No donation is too small, and everything counts. There is no timetable on when things will change but the only thing for certain bills never stop.

“A lot of people have been reaching out for updates but its just so hard to accept this reality. I know I can’t change it but to know that someone got away with doing this to my Julian it’s heartbreaking. He was just starting his life and someone took that from him. The pain I feel is unbearable to see my son so helpless wide awake but unable to move, unable to speak, unable to breathe on his own. For the past 2 months fighting for his life. Please keep Julian in your prayers ”
