Hi everyone,

My name is Kay, I'm a 19 year old Chinese American non binary artist. I'm searching for support for an important step with my gender affirming journey. Early last year i got my initial top surgery that i saved up for for a long time. I was so happy to be able to finally make that step in becomming myself, unfortuanately i experienced unexpected complications that will require a revision surgery.

Some of the challenges i faced include my stitches repeadetly breaking open during the first weeks, wich resulted in scar complications in multiple areas. Additionally, during the initial surgery, they where not able to safely remove all the tissue that should have been removed, these are two of the things that now need to be adressed in this revision.

Unfortunately, the revision surgery is going to be expensive maybe even more expensive than my initial top surgery, after dedicating my savings to the initial one and having to take off work for some time for the recovery, i curently am unable to afford the massive bill for the revision. Looking at the current political climate, i also deeply worry about loosing my opportunity to access this essential care easily if i wait much longer.

I am turning to my community and allies for help in raising enough to be able to cover the surgical fees and recovery. Your support means the world to me, no matter if through donation or simply sharing this story with others who might be able to help.

Why this surgery matters to me:

This revision isn't just about aesthetics, it's about comfort, confidence, and being able to fully embrace what is my authentic self. Living with these complications had been both physically and emotionally challenging, and i know that this revision will allow me to move forward with greater ease and happiness.
