We are a single-income household of 7 with dogs, cats, and chickens. I'm a traveling construction worker, and my wife manages all of the day-to-day household duties and children's needs. We have an autistic son whose computer is his lifeline. Our youngest is almost 7, and our oldest just turned 17.

We just experienced the worst day of our lives. A tornado hit our house and toppled a tree onto a large section of the house. Power is out, and we can't live there until it gets fixed. Our income is in jeopardy because I had to leave work to come home to help put the pieces back together and support my family.
