The saying goes that most Americans are one paycheck away from poverty.

Well, here I am. I am asking for help to finish paying my August bills and avoid being evicted and having my electricity cut off.

To explain, I have been on intermittent FMLA for a couple of years now and am not always able to meet my budget due to the time I have to take off. My illnesses are not something everyone can see, so the conjecture is that I should be able to work, but that's not always the case.

This month, I have fallen short.

I'm humbly asking for help in finishing paying August's rent, August's electric bill, and a little bit to go towards September's rent.

(To be open and clear, I do have a weekend away planned for the last weekend of August. This was planned for in June, and my room and ticket are non-refundable. I can't just lose that money, so I will be going on a shoestring budget of McDonald's value meals. I would be happy to show screenshots of what is due and receipts of when it is paid. I don't want anyone to think I would use any money to go out of town and party.)

Any little bit would help, and I would be so appreciative and will pass it on in the future.
