On Tuesday August 27, 2019 Angel Fung lost the fight to glioblastoma. His family is mourning his sudden passing, and would appreciate privacy at this very difficult time.
Glioblastoma patients can live for about nine months to a year from diagnosis even with treatment. Unfortunately in Angel's case, his tumor was so aggressive that it rapidly spread throughout his brain that he was only able to receive one week of radiation and chemotherapy. He continued to fight for his life, but right after his quick week of treatment, it led him into a coma where he left us after fighting in the ICU for two weeks.
Angel was not only an amazing son, brother, and uncle - He was the friend who always made you laugh and could look at all the bright moments. Angel was always the one down for a great meal and thoroughly enjoyed the company of his family and friends. He worked hard for his family restaurant alongside his younger sister Monica Fung and was the best uncle to his older brother Miguel Fung's children- Ethan and Sophie.
