Hello, my name is Calvin Harper, and I am asking for your help to keep our family together. My mother and I have lived together in Redlands, California, for almost eight years. We have a wonderful group of animals that depend on our care, and we are worried about our future.

I have been diagnosed with Parkinson's after dealing with health issues for the past few years. I tried to transition to working at home since I could no longer work using my previous expertise. After getting my license to sell Medicare Insurance, I started a job in February and was terminated in May without any warning. Unfortunately, I used most of my resources getting certified for the new job and compensating for my inability to work full time at the old one. I have applied to all jobs I can perform, but the search continues. We have reached the point where without help, I am afraid we will lose everything.

Over the years, we have adopted two horses, Ziggy and Glenda. Two dogs, Darla and Honeybunny. One cat, Cali Kitty, and a Peacock, Mr. Peabody. I have also cared for a stallion named Buddy. They are all part of the family, and we are desperate to keep everyone together.

Mom lives on a limited retirement income and cannot support us on her own. My income was essential for rent, bills, and feed for the critters. I'm waiting on unemployment benefits, but I doubt they will be able to cover everything.
