Chris' fight is not over!  He has been getting an immunity booster (TransferUACH) in order to bump up his white blood cell count enough to be accepted in a trial or at least receive chemotherapy again.  This booster has made Chris look and feel a little better, and it has certainly given him more energy and hope to fight.  Thank you all for your generous support, without your help this immunity booster would not be possible.

STORY:

My name is Gabby Fostel and my husband, Chris Fostel has been fighting throat cancer for over a year now. We have traveled and ultimately relocated from Odessa, Texas to Houston, Texas for treatment at MD Anderson Cancer Center. During this time, I took a leave of absence from teaching to assist with Chris' care and be by his side during this tough fight. Due to the time treatment, recovery, healing, etc. require, Chris has been unable to maintain a steady work schedule.

 

Unfortunately, MD Anderson has discontinued treatment at this time for Chris and he has been sent back to Odessa on Hospice care. However, Chris has not given up and neither have his family and friends. We have spoken with several other cancer centers in hopes that another institution would fight with him. Unfortunately, no one would agree, and we are proceeding with an alternate route.

 

By the grace of God, we found a treatment program willing to help Chris Fostel. The Oasis of Hope Hospital and Dr. Francisco Contreras, located in Mexico have implemented a program that will aide in Chris' fight and recovery. Their plan includes Medical Detoxification, Immunotherapy, Autohemotherapy, and Oxidative therapy.

 

Unfortunately, The Oasis of Hope is not within any medical insurance coverage available to us, therefore the only option is paying in cash.

 

Chris is very proud, and this is so humbling for him to ask for help, but this is his last option. We would truly appreciate any financial help you could offer. All of the money received will be used directly to fund Chris' treatment at The Oasis of Hope. Your thoughts and prayers are very much appreciated as well and are much needed in this trying time.
