Help my dad get a lung transplant

My father has been fighting COVID since April 5th. He has been hospitalized since April 14th. He was transferred from St. Jude in Fullerton all the way to St. John’s in Santa Monica. He has been intubated twice and is currently connected to an ECMO machine. A week ago we were informed by his doctor that he has lost one of his lungs. We are looking into getting him a lung transplant to replace his dead lung. Reason we want this to happen is because the lung he still has functioning is only working 40%. He is not a US citizen and for this reason no hospital is willing to accept him because the transplant is an expensive treatment. If he were a US citizen hospitals would have already accepted him. This is the main reason why he has not been able to get the lung transplant done. Unfortunately hospitals in California won’t do a transplant unless there is an active insurance that will pay off the debt of the treatment. He has emergency medical but that medical won’t cover the cost. This is why we ask of your help to gather the funds for this transplant to get done. He is a father, husband, and grandfather. He has 3 children and 4 grands kids. We are seeking help to come up with all the money possible to get him his lung transplant ASAP. He has been fighting for his life against these horrible virus for almost 2 months now. We all miss him and are heartbroken with the terrible news we have gotten. Our only hope is getting as much help as possible to get him that lung and have him back home with us. We don’t believe it’s far that only because he isn’t a US citizen he isn’t able to get his transplant done. He is still young and strong. All his body organs are perfectly fine the only thing wrong are his lungs. This is why We ask that you guys please help us out with whatever is your will at this point anything helps. We greatly appreciate it. Thank you!
