Purchase a made to measure sports wheelchair

Hello!

Firstly, thank you for taking time to look at my fundraiser. I am fundraising towards the purchase of a made to measure sports wheelchair for Pickleball.

I started playing wheelchair Pickleball in September 2024 following taster sessions at a Help For Heroes Sports Series. Both sports have quickly become a huge part of my life. It helps me manage both my physical and mental health.

I play at my local sports centre and borrow a sports chair which I do my best to maintain. As I develop and play for longer periods of time, I realise that the chair is causing more pain in my body. It isn't going to be a long term solution.

A custom built sports wheelchair is inherently expensive and I am looking to raise £3000. The wheelchair will enable me to me to develop both as a player and support me as I take steps towards becoming a pickleball coach.

I will be participating in my first Pickleball tournaments in August (English Open) and September (Welsh National Open) which will be the first of many in the future. I will be playing in the both in the borrowed chair.

This new chair will help me push further, fulfil my potential, and chase bigger goals in 2026 and beyond.

I’m doing everything I can to raise the money—selling things, applying for grants, and saving as much as possible. But I need some help to reach the full amount.
