Hello all! We have waited till recently to post anything about my mother’s health until we knew more and what direction we were heading. This is her second time having breast cancer, it was caught early. She has already had the surgery to remove the lump. The healing process has been rough, she is 60 years old after all. The next step is her radiation. Her treatments are almost an hour away and will be 5 days a week for 5 weeks. Her insurance has been covering almost everything but given the distance she has to travel and the frequency she is struggling to come up with the money she needs to cover this expense. Last time she had cancer our friends, family and community all came together and helped so much and it was overwhelming. We sadly have to reach out again a decade later and see if anyone is able to help her get through this next leg of the race. Radiation treatment is hard enough, I hate that she is having to worry and struggle to figure out how to make it to her necessary treatments.
