My Sister's operation
Donation protected
Hello everyone,
For those of you who don’t know, I have a wonderful older sister named Isela who is one of the people in my life that I can always count on. She has always supported me and continues to with my new chapter as a mother. My sister is a mother as well to two beautiful children, Isaiah (4 years) and Anahi (1 year).
In her young adult years, my sister decided to have a procedure done that at the time she believed would improve her happiness, a breast augmentation. Everyone who knows my sister Isela knows how beautiful she is not just on the inside but on the outside as well. She has one of those unseen qualities that can only be felt that have always attracted people to her presence and it always saddened me that she felt that she was incomplete in anyway. I blame society’s unrealistic pressures on women and the way it is perceived a woman “should” look. Alas, as most of the women in my family are headstrong and stubborn, she went through with this procedure…
Years later to the present, Isela has been dealing with symptoms that have rapidly declined her health and that now jeopardize her life. Her symptoms include chronic migraines, extreme dizziness, chest pain, hair loss, shortness of breath, inability to exercise because of her breathing problems. She sleeps sitting up because she cannot breathe laying down. She has also developed a chronic cough.
Her doctors have informed her that she has developed an autoimmune disease which she is still undergoing testing for with her rheumatologist. The source of her illness is none other than the breast implants which she needs to have removed ASAP. This surgery is extremely expensive and unfortunately her insurance cannot cover most of the cost.
Covid has been difficult for everyone, including my family but I am reaching out in these trying times to anyone who is willing to help in my efforts to raise money for my sister’s operation. The goal is to raise 10K as that is how much we need to make up on our end to pay for the operation but anything, anyone is willing or able to donate is greatly appreciated by our family.
A heartfelt thank you for everyone who took the time to read this and for any donations!
