I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help for our beloved dog, River. River isn’t just a pet — She’s like our child. She’s the kind of dog who brings comfort on hard days, joy on the good ones, and unconditional love every single moment in between, our little shadow at all times.

Not even a month ago our heart broke when River’s sister Thea unexpectedly and tragically passed suddenly, leaving a hole in our home.

Recently, River was diagnosed with a cancerous lung tumor. Hearing that diagnosis was devastating, but we’re holding onto hope. Our veterinary surgeon has told us that surgery to remove the tumor is her best chance at more time — more walks, more tail wags, more memories.

Unfortunately, the cost of this life-saving surgery is more than we can manage on our own. Between diagnostics, the surgery, and recovery care, expenses are adding up quickly.
