I’m creating this listing for my longtime friend, Candace. We’ve been friends since third grade, and she is truly one of the most hardworking, independent people I know. She has always pushed through challenges without complaint and never likes to ask for help.

Six months ago, Candace and her daughters were T-boned just outside their apartment complex. Thankfully, the girls were not seriously injured, but Candace wasn’t as lucky. The accident left her with significant injuries and her car completely totaled. Since then, she hasn’t been able to work, and she recently learned she will need neck surgery- meaning even more recovery time and mounting expenses ahead.

Candace has her kids full-time, and without a car, everyday life has become incredibly difficult. Getting the girls to school, attending medical appointments, and managing basic daily responsibilities has been a constant struggle. On top of that, she’s now facing challenges covering rent and essential living expenses. She has exhausted her savings and emergency funds, fully believing she would be back on her feet by now.

Asking for help is not something Candace is comfortable with, which is why I wanted to create this on her behalf - to help relieve some of the added stress she’s carrying during an already overwhelming time.

Funds raised will go toward covering rent for the next couple of months, basic necessities, medical-related expenses, and working toward a reliable used car so she can care for her kids and continue her recovery.
