Hello everyone,

Let me start by saying that I am no good with words. And, I am definitely not good at asking for help.

As some of you know I have had a live in companion for the past 25 years. He has spent the majority of 2025 unable to work due to his battle with mental and physical health issues. I won't go into specifics due to privacy laws.

His close friend suggested I start this GoFundMe. He told me that "people DO care".

Without his salary we've been relying on our social security payments. We've tried to keep the household afloat by making payment arrangements, robbing Peter to pay Paul, all of the usual ways that far too many are familiar with.

Things came crashing down on August 27 when our water was shut off. We made do. It was not only a very challenging time, but also very unsanitary. On September 5 I finally borrowed some money and spent the remainder of my September social security payment to have our water turned back on. The picture I've included is my current checking account balance and savings account balance.

I'm asking for help to not only get us through the rest of this month, but to help ease the burden of this unexpected financial crisis that we've found ourselves in.

I'm relatively confident that I'll be able to find employment before too long.
