Hi, our names are Bian and Diego. Our beloved fur baby Leo recently has lost his ability to walk in his hind legs and has lost control of his bladder. He is a miniature dachshund and unfortunately his breed is susceptible to back injuries like this. As of right now the vets believe he is experiencing IVDD and will need an expensive surgery that costs upward of $12,000 to help repair the burst disk in his vertebrae. As many of you know that is an astronomical number to us and we have been shaken to our core not knowing what to do to save him. We are heartbroken seeing him like this. We are at least trying to raise enough money to get

him a CT scan to properly diagnose him and eventually do surgery. The longer we wait the higher the risk of him being completely paralyzed. He is currently in diapers and we have to manually help him excrete his urine. He is on extremely strict kennel rest so that his spinal cord can heal. We are asking for help from the bottom of our heart. He’s only 2 years old and has his whole life ahead of him. We have a kitty at home who also adores him as well. He is just such a happy dog and a bundle of joy in our lives. We really can’t picture our life without him and are willing to lose everything for him but are hoping we don’t.
