It is an honour to support my dear friend Julien in raising money for a charity that holds an extraordinary place close to my heart.
Action for Humanity aims to build a better future for the Middle East. He will be running in the Al Qudra Dubai, a 60km gruelling race. Below I share Julien's thoughts.
What does this 60 km run mean to me?
“If you’re going through hell, keep going.” W. Churchill
Resilience. Confronted with obstacles and challenges, one may choose to give up, one may choose to explore that next frontier within oneself. This limit one feels, one discovers time and time again. Resilience is never acquired, never guaranteed, never everlasting.
Peace. The people of the Middle East deserve peace and have paid the great price of war over and over again in its 8,000 years of history. This region understands what it takes to stand up when everything seems lost and when ashes vanish away with sand dust. Peace is often revived out of the rubble.
Special thanks to my dad Talal and Mara, Julien's daughter, for helping us.
'One dream, One team! Go Julien! Make us proud!
