Help William in hospital and to keep family close

Hi, I’m Sammi-Jo a mother of 4. Our youngest boy, William, who is 2 years old has been diagnosed with nephrotic syndrome. This is a rare kidney disease which affects his kidney function. At the moment William is admitted into Alderhey Children’s hospital as he hasn’t responded to the first line treatment.

This obviously comes with lots of additional costs that we are hoping you can help with, as we are self employed we do not receive any kind of sick pay and the costs of travel, parking, tolls, food and drink is unbelievable when you’re staying in hospital.

We are unbelievably overwhelmed with people asking us to set this up and we cannot thank you enough for anything you can to help. The funds will be used for travel so that we can stay close as a family, for toll charges, parking, food and drink while we are in hospital.

This fund will only be used in relation to Williams hospital admissions or related to keeping him happy and close to family. Or to buy crafts/playdoh that helps keep him occupied and happy while he is hooked up to medication in bed. This can be up to 6 hours so we go through a lot of it!

With hope, in 2 years we will have a better idea of his prognosis but at the moment we are still very much in a crisis point with him. If any funds are not used by this point we will donate the funds to alderhey charity and as soon as we can we will be raising money for them and add that to the fund.

Last week William has a stroke, he is recovering well now but this is an added complication. We appreciate all of your thoughts and prayers and support ♥️
