Hola a mi familia, mis amigos, compañeros de trabajo y comunidad,

Esta temporada navideña, la familia Galarza Salinas se ha visto afectada por una pérdida tan trágica. Nuestro amado hijo, hermano, padre, tío y amigo se fue al cielo el 22 de diciembre. Fue realmente un giro triste y trágico de los acontecimientos. El hecho ocurrió la tarede del 21 de diciembre. Advertencia, esto puede ser traumatizante para algunas personas.

Carlos y su hijo Carlos salían de su trabajo de construcción. Carlos Sr. estaba ayudando a su vecino a salir de un garage de entrada a Mohegan Drive en West Hartford, CT. Como Carlos Sr. estaba ayudando a su vecino a retroceder, fue atropellado por otro carro que conducía por la calle. Carlos jr. dijo que escuchó un fuerte golpe y pensó que el carro que retrocedía había sido golpeado. Lamentablemente ese no fue el caso. Carlos Sr. fue golpeado y su cuerpo voló alrededor de 100 pies hacia adelante. El límite de velocidad máxima en esta calle es de 30 mph y el conductor iba alrededor de 50 mph. Carlos jr. inmediatamente pidió ayuda y al llegar la ambulancia, Carlos sr. había estado muerto por alrededor de 15-20 minutos. Afortunadamente, el equipo de emergencia realizó RCP y logró revivirlo. De camino al hospital, Carlos sr. había perdido la vida alrededor una vez. Los médicos en el hospital hicieron todo lo posible a través de la cirugía para ver si podían salvarle la vida. Durante la cirugía, tuvo 3 infartos. Los médicos vieron que se había roto la zona pélvica y el brazo, y presentaba algunos daños en algunos de sus órganos vitales. Su cerebro también sufrió daños graves hasta el punto de que después de las cirugías tuvo una inflamación cerebral. Aquí es donde la situación se complico. Su cerebro se estaba hinchando demasiado rápido que después de múltiples exámenes para ver si tenía actividad cerebral, descubrieron que no había ninguna. En ese momento fue declarado muerto y su familia fue notificada. La ciudad de Hartford está investigando lo que sucedió en el accidente.

Hi to my family, my friends, work campions and beyond,

This holiday season the Galarza Salinas family has been hit with such a tragic loss. Our loving son, brother, father, uncle, and friend passed on to the other side on December 22nd. It was truly a sad and tragic turn of events. The incident happened on the evening of December 21st. Warning this can be triggering for some people.

Carlos and his son Carlos were getting out of their construction work. Carlos sr. was helping his neighbor back out of a driveway onto Mohegan Drive in West Hartford, CT. As Carlos sr. was helping his neighbor back up he was hit by another car driving down the street. Carlos jr. said that he heard a loud bang and thought that the car backing out was hit. Sadly that was not the case. Carlos sr. was hit and his body flew around 100 feet forward. The maximum speed limit on this street is 30 mph and the driver was going around 50 mph. We are not fully sure of the exact mileage yet. If you wish please see the attached images of the car damages that hit Carlos sr.

Carlos jr. immediately called for help and upon the arrival of the ambulance, Carlos sr. had been dead for around 15-20mins. Luckily the emergency team performed CPR and managed to revive him. On his way to the hospital, Carlos sr. had lost his life once. The doctors in the hospital tried their hardest through surgery to see if they could save his life. During the surgery, he had 3 heart attacks. The doctors saw that he had broken his pelvic area and his arm, and he sustained some damage to some of his vital organs. His brain also sustained some serious damage to the point that after the surgeries he had brain swelling. This is where things went completely south. His brain was swelling too quickly that after multiple exams to see if he had any brain activity they discovered there was none. That moment he was pronounced dead and his family was notified. The city of Hartford is investigating what happened at the accident.

We are asking you, our loved ones and fellow community members if you have any spare funds from this holiday season to donate to the Galarza Salinas family so that they can cover any funeral costs. We understand that money is tight around this season but as little as sharing our story will help.
