Nathan's Road to Recovery

What Happened
On October 15th Nathan Rengen was in a tragic accident and nearly lost his life. While clearing land and timber with his father, a large branch fell and struck Nathan breaking his back and multiple bones (several vertebrae and ribs, a broken clavicle and shattered scapula). He was in the ICU for nearly 10 days while surgeries were completed to repair the damage and stabilize his body. Nathan is currently paralyzed from the waist down and life as he knew it has significantly changed.

About Nathan
Nathan cares deeply about his family and community. He is one of the hardest working people you’ll ever meet. He’s caring and a darn good friend to anyone who is lucky enough to know him. He would do anything for someone in need and there are countless stories of his efforts. Nathan has a knack for forming strong bonds with everyone he meets. If you have been fortunate enough to spend any length of time with Nathan, he’s bound to have made a lasting impression on you and certainly you’ve got a story to share.

The Need
Nathan and his wife Lynsey have 11-month-old Haden at home in Arlington, WA. Currently they have support for day to day needs but we know much more will be needed as Nathan begins his rehabilitation therapy soon. Medical bills are already adding up. His new business is on hold while he is recovering from his injuries, and funding is needed to support his wife and son. We are hoping to raise $50,000 to help Nathan recover and keep his family afloat during this crisis. We know that things are not easy for anyone right now, but if you are moved or able to give the Rengen family is deeply grateful.

In addition, because of COVID visitors are restricted, and Nathan will be away from family for some time. We hope this fundraiser will be a way for Nathan’s family, friends, and community to rally for him in this time of need.
